Maria Black returned to school in her fifties to earn an MFA and now runs a writing group from her home in western Massachusetts. Though she has a devoted husband, kind children, and an obedient dog, she still worries, complains, and bites her fingernails.

Louise A. Blum is the author of the novel Amnesty and the memoir You’re Not from around Here, Are You? In the past few years, she was awarded a MacDowell Fellowship, got arrested twice at anti-fracking protests, and quit her teaching job to write full-time. She lives in Corning, New York.

David James Duncan is the author of two novels, The River Why and The Brothers K, and a collection of stories and essays titled River Teeth. He lives with his family in western Montana.

Mark Gozonsky’s writing has appeared in Lit Hub, the Santa Monica Review, and The Austin Chronicle. He’s working on two books: one about teaching climate change through literature, the other about his post-middle-age baseball career. He lives in Los Angeles.

Alison Luterman is writing, teaching, and watching the sunrise in Oakland, California.

Howard Nelson’s latest book, That Was Really Something, includes poems about James Brown, Jimi Hendrix, Otis Redding, and the Ronettes. He lives in the Finger Lakes region of New York.

Thacher Schmid is a writer and musician who lives in Portland, Oregon. He digs funky music and the crazy wisdom of children.

Heather Sellers is at work on a collection of poetry titled Dear Wolf and a collection of micro-memoir called Longing, Wading. She lives in Saint Petersburg, Florida, where she teaches writing privately and at the University of South Florida.

Steven Stampone is from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, which means he can say, “Yo,” without shame or irony.

Daniel Uncapher is a letterpress printer from north Mississippi whose writing has appeared in Chicago Quarterly Review, Tin House, The Carolina Quarterly, and the Notre Dame Review.

Nicholas Bell lives in Knoxville, Tennessee. His photography has been published in Black & White, Shutterbug, Photography Masterclass, and Adore Noir.

Andrea Blazak is an artist and writer from Michoacán, Mexico. She currently lives in Portland, Oregon, and teaches at Portland State University.

Gloria Baker Feinstein likes a late-afternoon chai latte and is always looking for a good game of Scrabble. She lives in Portland, Oregon.

Frank Hamrick grew up in Georgia picking blackberries and helping his grandfather and uncles drill wells. He is a professor and the MFA graduate-program coordinator at Louisiana Tech University’s School of Design in Ruston, Louisiana.

Wayne Klaw is a retired airline pilot who lives in Haddon Heights, New Jersey.

Jon Kral is a retired photojournalist who still tries to take a camera with him wherever he goes. He lives in western North Carolina and is counting the days until his first grandchild is born.

Thom Lang lives in New York City, where he likes to roam old cemeteries and stay up too late with his wife, drinking wine and playing cards.
