Adam Fisher has “packed popsicles, put on aluminum siding, was an army linguist, publicist, editor, newspaper reporter, and painted apartments here in New York City. I have a variety of dreams, among them starting some small Zen center . . . but dreams are cheap.”


Mohandas K. Gandhi was the leader of the Indian independence movement and a vocal advocate of nonviolent resistance. He was assassinated in 1948.


Anne Herbert is the assistant editor of CoEvolution Quarterly and the author of The Rising Sun Neighborhood, to be published this Fall.


Satish Kumar was born in India. He has edited Resurgence magazine in England for 10 years.


Wayne Perras juggles would-be careers as novelist, article writer, performance poet, jazz disc jockey, and editor of the High Rock Review in Saratoga Springs, New York. He also has a full time job managing a community residence of twelve developmentally disabled adults.


Howard Jay Rubin is a free-lance writer who lives in Oakland, California.


Sy Safransky is editor of The Sun.
