Redfern Jon Barrett, a dogged activist for polyamory rights, lives in Berlin and is the author of two novels, Forget Yourself and The Giddy Death of the Gays & the Strange Demise of Straights.


Jessica Anya Blau’s latest novel is The Trouble with Lexie. She is on Facebook every now and then, Twitter sporadically, and Instagram every day or so. All are @Jessicaanyablau. She divides her time between Baltimore and New York.


Corey Fischer co-founded the Traveling Jewish Theatre in 1978 and served as writer, actor, and director for its thirty-four years of existence. He currently teaches improvisation and helps playwrights and performers develop new work. He lives in California and is married to the writer China Galland.


J. Mays is the pseudonym of an author who writes two pages every single day.


Raffaele Montepaone’s photos have been exhibited throughout Italy and France. He lives in Vibo Valentia, Italy.


Elizabeth Onusko lives in New York and is the author of the poetry collection Portrait of the Future with Trapdoor. She recently started painting again, after a decade-long hiatus, and has no idea what she’s doing — and doesn’t care.


Lawrence Shainberg is the author of three novels and two books of nonfiction. He was born in Memphis, Tennessee, and now divides his time between New York City and Truro, Massachusetts.



Richard Comen won his first photo contest at the age of eleven. He lives in Mendocino, California.


Katie DelaVaughn is an educator, gardener, doula, and mother who lives in Petaluma, California.


Robert Hofmann is a photographer who lives in Oakland, California. He is a member of Norman Fischer’s Everyday Zen Foundation.


Sher Kamman’s photography has been published in various newspapers. She lives in Henniker, New Hampshire.


Jeffrey Levick is a filmmaker and visual storyteller based in the New York City area. He produces films and online educational materials for nonprofits and academic institutions.


Jason Little lives in Keene, Texas, and is, along with his wife, an unreasonably enthusiastic New York Giants fan.


Aylis McEuen lives in Dalton, Georgia, with her husband, a dog, a cat, and two small marsupials called “sugar gliders.”


Khunya Pan is a photographer living in Austin, Texas.


Dmitriy Semenovskiy is a photographer who lives in Kiev, Ukraine.

Lewis Koch is a photographer who lives in Madison, Wisconsin. His work is in the permanent collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Whitney Museum of American Art, and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. He took this month’s cover, of a Buddha statue facing the sun, on Lantau Island in Hong Kong.
