If you photograph people with their eyes closed, what do the images reveal?
I was traveling in Ukraine when this question occurred to me, and for three days I approached Ukrainians and asked if I could photograph them with their eyes shut. Most reacted with surprise and curiosity.
Looking at the pictures, I think perhaps the face with eyes closed provides a glimpse of each person’s inner self.
