Yael van der Wouden is a writer and editor who lives in Utrecht, the Netherlands. She co-founded Chaos Press, a Dutch feminist publishing house. In her off time she waters plants, walks into rooms and immediately forgets why, and reviews books for Platypus Press’s literary guide, The Wilds. Her work is set to appear in Ellipsis Zine.
The first time someone told me I looked like Anne Frank was also the first conversation I had about pubic hair. Now, of course it’s possible the two topics weren’t actually discussed back to back and my subconscious simply saw an opening one night while I was asleep and stitched the two memories together.
