Susan M. Watkins is the author of Conversations with Seth: The Story of Jane Roberts’s ESP Class (Prentice Hall). She lives in Rock Stream, New York, where she’s working on a book entitled, The Year of Dreaming Dangerously: Reckless Journeys Through a Safe Universe. Her story in this issue won a 1974 Writer’s Digest short story contest, and was subsequently rejected by seventy-five editors.
