Chloë Gladstone lives in Oakland, California, where she works from home as a copywriter and copyeditor for Scholastic, a publisher of children’s literature, so her bedroom is piled high with children’s books. She once wrote her own children’s story, about a baby stingray, and though it has yet to be published, it made her sister laugh so hard she cried.
Day after day we write his memories. It’s harder for me to help with the ones from before we met, but still I write them. He tells me everything he can remember, and the rest I fill in from the stories he’s told me in the past.
