Robert Koehler is a longtime Chicago journalist who has won numerous awards for his reporting. He is currently pursuing an M.F.A. at Columbia College in Chicago and working on a novel about growing up in the fifties.
Somehow the knowledge of his identity passed through to me in the moment I stood there locked to him. It passed through his knuckles and into my skin. It burned out at me through his eyes.
