Wendy Hill studies creative nonfiction at Sierra Nevada College. She is a managing editor for the Sierra Nevada Review and the nonfiction editor for Bridge Eight. She lives in Houston, Texas, with one husband, five kids, three dogs, and a cat. In her free time she hides in her room and hopes no one knocks on the door. She is reluctantly on Twitter.

I imagine Warren and Adrianne as little archaeologists, trying to unearth the bones of their father’s life, holding up shoes and hats they’ve disinterred, old letters, a college ring inside a carved wooden box from Afghanistan.
