Maria Kuznetsova was born in Kyiv, Ukraine, and moved to the United States as a child, where she learned English by watching Married. . . with Children. She has published two novels and teaches at Auburn University.

Courtney LeBlanc is the author of three poetry collections and the founder of Riot in Your Throat, an independent poetry press. She lives in Virginia.

Mishele Maron is a former chef who is working on a memoir about her years as a cook in the marine industry. She lives in Seattle, Washington.

Jon Kral retired from photojournalism and moved to North Carolina twenty years ago. His two young grandchildren keep him from becoming the old mountain hermit he sometimes yearns to be.

Rob Lancaster has loved photography since he first looked through the viewfinder of a Pentax camera at age fifteen. He lives in Libertyville, Illinois.

Jan Phillips has been fighting homophobia with her camera since the 1970s and has traveled the world advocating for justice. She lives in San Diego, California.

Steven Miller has been a photographer, musician, journalist, and homosexual in Seattle, Washington, for more than thirty years.
